James obtained a joint degree J.D. / M.B.A. from SUNY Buffalo. Prior to law school, he attended New York University, majoring in philosophy. While in law school, James was a Publications Editor for the Buffalo Law Review, and the Co-Editor-in-Chief of the Human Rights Law Review. He was admitted to the bar in 2012. He has extensive experience practicing in the Western New York area. He has drafted motions and appeared and argued in countless cases at all levels in New York State, from local town courts, County Courts, Supreme Court and including Bankruptcy Court.
While the focus of James’ career has been in civil litigation, he also has significant experience in criminal court. He comes to the LoTempio Law Group from Livingston County where he represented individuals facing felony charges as a Public Defender. In private practice, James was known for his successful defense of homeowners facing foreclosure throughout the Buffalo and Rochester areas. James has participated in complex civil litigation matters and is highly knowledgeable in discovery and motion practice. James prides himself in caring for his clients’ wellbeing and ensuring that not only do they receive a favorable outcome, but that they understand the legal process. He uses his background and experience to emotionally guide his clients through whatever legal issues they are facing, while providing them with top quality service availing himself of his diverse knowledge and experience.
